Voto Latino Foundation and Asian Law Caucus Form Historic Multiracial Coalition to Launch National Voter Protection Campaign
August–September virtual training series aims to safeguard access to the polls and mobilize minority communities ahead of major fall elections
Washington, D.C. — Today, in a powerful cross-community response to rising voter intimidation and restrictive polling practices, Voto Latino and the Asian Law Caucus announced a joint "Know Your Rights" Virtual Training Series launching today.
The nation's leading Latino and Asian American civic organizations are uniting to equip voters with knowledge of critical legal protections, build cross-racial solidarity, and drive registration ahead of a major coordinated national voter activation set for late August.
“Every eligible voter deserves an equal opportunity to participate in our elections, regardless of the language they speak or where they live,” said Aarti Kohli, Executive Director of Asian Law Caucus. “Right now, we’re seeing false claims about voter fraud, new restrictions on how people can cast a ballot, and open threats of federal agents showing up at the polls. Communities need to understand their rights more than ever. Federal law protects voters from intimidation and guarantees language assistance in many communities – but those rights only matter if people know they exist and use them. That’s why we’re proud to partner with Voto Latino to ensure voters have the information and support they need to make their voices heard.”

The training series directly addresses potential threats, federal overreach, and voter intimidation at polling places, equipping community members with the legal facts and tools needed to protect their ballots and cast them with confidence in our elections.
