Know Your Rights: A Guide for Community Members with Deportation Orders

If you or a loved one is a community member who has a deportation order, this guide is intended to:

  • Help you understand that ICE may take actions to try to deport you (or your loved one)
  • Help you understand how you (or your loved one) may fight deportation and stay in the United States
  • Help you (or your loved one) prepare and make informed decisions for a future that may feel uncertain.

This guide was created by the Immigrants’ Rights Clinic at Stanford Law School, the Asian Law Caucus, the Center for Empowering Refugees & Immigrants, and New Light Wellness.

A crowd of people is gathered outside of the Department of Homeland Security office in San Francisco. They hold signs that say, "Free them all," "No human is illegal," and "Please don't deport my daddy."In the foreground a person wearing a patterned scarf gestures as he speaks into a microphone. A person with their back to the camera wears a shirt that says, "Every human person is sacred across all borders."
