No matter what we look like or where we’re from, we are all Equal Under the Law.
We, the people, fought for and won the Fourteenth Amendment to make us all equal under the law, no matter our race, our gender, or our citizenship.
The Fourteenth Amendment is the bedrock of our fundamental freedoms, including:
- The freedom to be a citizen in the place you were born,
- The freedom to go to school no matter who you are,
- The freedom to marry the person you love, and
- The freedom to defend yourself in court.
But today, Trump and his movement wants to put himself above the Constitution and control who gets to belong and be free and safe in our country by attempting to undo the Fourteenth Amendment.
Instead of implementing real solutions that help all of our families thrive, they are seizing more power for themselves, breaking apart families, and taking away children’s passports, social security, healthcare, and food programs.
We know what they’re up to. They are trying to distract and divide us from the hardships they and their billionaire friends created by pointing the finger at new immigrants.
But we won’t be distracted. We are coming together – from California to Pennsylvania to Georgia – to demand that all of our leaders protect our families, due process, and equality under the law, no exceptions.
